The green sea turtle is possibly one of the oldest species on earth, existing for as long as 150 million years.  While as resilient as they are, many turtles were killed for food, cosmetic and clothing use.  But the protection of these sea creatures in recent history has made a positive impact, and they now live in tropical oceans worldwide.
